Highway bosses skip Credit Union meeting, as mayor orders (Eagle-Tribune Online)
HAVERHILL - It was a legal showdown with a man’s job on the line, and Mayor James Fiorentini won. The mayor forbade Highway Department foreman Kevin Flaherty from attending yesterday’s meeting of the Municipal Employees Credit Union in City Hall. Flaherty is a credit union board member.
